Medina Water Supply - Hiring a System Operator

The Medina Water Supply is currently looking for someone local to fill the System Operator contractor position that will be vacated soon. This is a part-time position that requires around 60 hours of work per month. Some key responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Perform routine chlorine residual checks, plant inspections and log plant readings on Monday-Thursday
- Ensure housekeeping and upkeep at both water production facilities
- Perform maintenance and repair activities as necessary
- Coordinate and oversee contract repair and maintenance activities
- Collect customer meter readings once monthly
- Flush all dead-end main lines once monthly
- Ensure accessibility to water valves, water meters and fire hydrants by keeping vegetation trimmed in those areas
- Carry the service cell phone and respond to emergency repairs or outages as necessary
