The Public Utility Commission of Texas has ruled that water utilities (including water supply corporations) may not disconnect customers for non-payment during an extreme weather event. An extreme weather event is described as temperatures at or below 28* F. Cutoffs may resume on the 2nd business day with temperatures above 28* F.
