Subject: Economic Survey

The MWSC Board of Directors has been working to secure grants for water infrastructure improvements and improve water services to the Medina community. Working with the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), we submitted a list of projects for funding consideration.

We were recently informed that our list had been accepted for review by the TWDB. Community projects across Texas are scored and prioritized in this process. Currently, we rank somewhat high in the priority list. We can move up significantly by submitting an economic survey showing we are an economically disadvantaged community.

During the monthly MWSC Board meeting of 15 April, the Board selected a third-party vendor (Business Services Company) to conduct an independent economic survey. We want to stress that none of the information you provide to the survey is seen or retained by the MWSC. Your survey will not contain your name. For their survey purposes, the company conducting the survey will only assign a number to your survey results.

We ask that you provide accurate information and participate in the survey as it is conducted. As we get closer to a start date, we will remind you again of the survey. Again, this is a requirement for us to improve our priority status with TWDB and secure the necessary financial support to complete some very important water projects for the Medina community.
